In September our 7th Annual Pitchfest Outdoor Edition unfolded here at T9 HQ, and as always we were blown away by the passion, determination, and bravery of female entrepreneurs. Over the course of two days, ten women from nine outdoor brands showcased their business stories, pitched their innovative products, and connected with our longstanding community of T9 Movers & Makers®.

I’m Sonja, inventory planner and resident women’s sports expert here at Title Nine. I’m back to share the stories you need to know about, and to keep giving women athletes the attention they deserve.
1. MVP, MVP MVP!!! 
A’ja Wilson (Las Vegas Aces) is the WNBA MVP for the 2024 regular season! Wilson joins Lisa Leslie, Sheryl Swoopes and Lauren Jackson as the only players to receive the award three times! In addition, A’ja is the second player in WNBA history to win by a unanimous vote (67 1st place votes). A’ja finished out the season with 1,021 points, 451 rebounds and 98 blocks. Cynthia Cooper was the first player to win by unanimous vote in the W’s inaugural season in 1997. Aja’s alma mater, the University of South Carolina (2024 WCBB Champions) also set a program record by selling out their season tickets for the upcoming season for the first time.
For the past 35 years, Title Nine has been scouring the globe in search of killer products that get women where they want to be – OUTSIDE. So we’re back with another year of T9’s Pitchfest Outdoor Edition, opening the doors to support women makers in the outdoor industry, like us, designing and wear-testing products we’d be proud to sell (and buy)!
On September 27, nine brands will pitch their products to our panel of industry and outdoor experts for a chance to join our product lineup and community of women entrepreneurs. Yeah, that’s a lotta pressure, but these women–every one of them–are fearless. After all, it takes a crazy amount of grit, ambition and guts to start your own business. AND to take it to the next level.
