An athlete is…
A mom squeezing in her workout before the kids wake up.
Candace Parker squeezing in one more rep as she prepares her post-partum body for another season of pro hoops.
A woman who juggles work commitments but never forgets her commitments to herself.
That woman on the elliptical breaking bad habits as she builds a better body.
Dara Torres breaking barriers even if she’s not breaking records.
A girl discovering the competent machine that is her body.
A woman discovering the same thing.
What is an athlete? An athlete is you.

I love all the blurbs about your models, proving that anyone can be athletic (even though I don’t look like them!) but I am a very safety conscious grandmother especially when it come to cycling. I cringed at the photo with the two girls on the bike riding in FLIPFLOPS with NO helmet. The photo is great for freedom and spontaneity but an accident waiting to happen in regards to safety. Maybe you could put a small endorsement under to pic to Always wear a helmet? Just a thought from someone who has seen alot that could have been prevented…Keep up the great pics, clothes and inspiration!- barb
An athlete is being strong inside and out.
An athlete is to me……..my older sister teaching me that we can run a 13 mile trail run at ages 44 and 46………just because we can 🙂
An athlete is one who make a conscious effort to move their body, selects nutrients carefully, & competes against the clock or another being.
An athlete is… that kid who was always picked last for dodgeball, growing up to love hiking and working in the woods, and keeping on going even with arthritis.
An athlete is….a 60 year old woman adding a personal trainer to her regimen of aerobic dance and yoga.
loved that “what is an athlete” keeps me going and going and going.

Thanks for this comment. I use your catalog as a visual source of inspiration when I am doing my daily elliptical routine. When I workout , I am not on my elliptical, but visually walking on the beach.I find this visualization really helpful throughout the East Coast’s (waaay too long for me) winters.
I am not physically on the West Coast, but my heart, mind, and spirit resides there….
