We like to think that every Title 9K we put on is a memorable one, but the 12th annual Mother’s Day Title 9K in Boulder, CO just might take the cake! (Chocolate cake, of course.)
Why’s that? Well, there are certain things we simply can’t control on race day — like the weather.
But we also know you simply cannot stop a mother runner: she will lead the way no matter what the world throws at her.

Said Chris C., one of our ‘most inspirational story’ winners, “Writing the story really helped heal a part of my soul, and to be recognized made it that much more special.” We are proud to recognize you, Chris! The Title 9K couldn’t be the event it is today without all of the incredible people who come out to both participate and make the event run smoothly. While conditions weren’t smooth, at least our race crew kept things moving.
This video from the race start to gives a pretty good idea of what our 826 finishers tackled.

Did YOU run in the snow at the Title 9K Boulder? Tag your photos online with #Title9K, or leave us a comment or a link to your race recap. We’d love to hear about it!
My daughter and I ran it and had a blast! Kudos to all the volunteers who made it seem like a sunny day:) It was my 1st 10K and is certainly memorable~it will not be my last. Loved the signs at the last mile and of course the chocolates! Always a fan of your clothes now one for your race
Had a blast in the rain and snow with Shanon Anderson!
I came from Ohio and met my daughter Lindsey from California to run at the Title 9K! Thank you for making the race perfect, even in the crazy weather!
Thanks to all of your sponsors, I had enough snacks to last through all my flight delays back home! (-:
Thanks to all of you for braving the weather, so we could run together, and I could celebrate the gift of being Lindsey’s mom.
Best Regards,
Cheryl
I ran this race even though every inch of me said BRRRRR this is muddy and cold. It was great to see all the volunteers and families out there to support. Onward we run as moms and grandmoms I was please with my time and would do another title nine race anytime.
I woke up to blizzard conditions in Cheyenne, WY on Mother’s Day- debating whether to make that scary drive down I-25 to my race in Boulder. As long as the race was still ‘on’ and the roads were open…I was going! I am SO glad I did. I loved sloshing in the mud with rain/snow pelting me for an hour. We should all be so proud to have endured a less than perfect situation – it’s what being a mother is all about. ~ Jennie
We were a group of four runners. The weather was awful in Evergreen Sunday morning and we decided to be safe and not get stranded. Are any race bags being mailed out or kept somewhere to still be picked up?
We have run every race except 1, now 2, since its inception!
Thank you — Dawn
