Wanna win this sweet surfboard?
The contest period has ended. Thank you for all the amazing entries. Stay tuned over the next few days for the announcement of our winners!
We worked with our friends over at Carve Designs to create a one-of-a-kind T9er surfboard (shaped by Entropy) for one of you lucky ladies to win. Here’s all we’re asking – dazzle us with your creativity by telling us why YOU deserve this sweet 7′ sustainably-made ride.
Would you like to fulfill a life-long dream to catch a wave? Use it as a surf deco coffee table, or save drowning children in faraway oceans? Whatever the cause, tell us in 99 words or less by posting a comment below.
Share your words by June 1st, 2009 for a chance to win the surfboard awesomeness. Fret not, ’cause we’ll be giving away 2 prizes to the runners-up ($100 gift card + Team T9 membership).
Heads Up: Our contests are only open to Title Nine eMail subscribers. They are our way of saying thanks to our loyal customers. So if you aren’t already a subscriber you will become one by submitting your entry. Click Here to read the official rules.
I would like to make this board a gift to my daughter. She’s been surfing with me and it’s so much more fun to go together. Her own board would be just the right encouragement she needs to really latch onto the sport. This makes me happy for two reasons. One, I love sharing surfing with others and two, I love surfing and if she wants to go more often then I can go more often! Thank you, Title Nine! 🙂
Hello-
My entry was submitted last night, however it says my comment “is awaiting moderation” and I noticed it isn’t listed with the other comments.
I hope you will please consider my entry…Did I not do something properly?
Thanks, Leslie
i love life ! i love the ocean . i love surfing ! ..paddling my heart out, waiting for the perfect wave, taking it all in, FEELiNG the moment. the waves, the air, the sky. it’s perfect ! i love everything and would especially love this surfboard 🙂 !!!!!!!!! <3<3
I have recently made some significant life changes that make me a perfect fit for this awesome board. At age 48, I found myself unhappy, and out of shape. I took stock, cut my hair, dumped the frumpy clothes, started eating right and became more active. I have now lost 30 pounds, I bike, swim, kayak and take care of myself again! I recently decided to add surfing to my active lifestyle. Please help me in my quest to rediscover my self – including my inner surfer girl!
Four years ago we took our daughter to the University of Hawaii and I had the joy of watching my family surf the beautiful shores of Oahu. Last year I bought my first board and I’m so grateful for having the ability to learn this wonderful sport. My daughter will graduate with a degree in Kinesiology, and I would love to present her with her first board, as a symbol of her dedication to helping people find strength & courage and as a reminder of how fortunate we are to be happy and healthy!
Thanks!
A new surfboard would bravely carry on for my old blue board, embellished by duct tape, patches and holes, that can no longer provide *sigh*.
A board connects me into the diverse community of Rockaway Beach, my home break, where despite our outward differences we are united by a common physical experience.
It also connects me with nature, a treasure in the NYC asphalt, and reminds me that the effort to keep challenging myself and defy what is “expected” of me at my age (I’m 44!) is worthy. Nothing beats the internal strength I find every time I paddle for a wave. I am empowered and therefore cannot help myself but to empower others.
I’m guessing the chances of me winning are pretty slim but a girl’s gotta try, right? The fact that I have wanted to surf since forever and that the prize matches the swim suit and sweatshirt I’m saving up for is motivation enough for me to try. My name is Jen Sager and I am 35 years old. I’ve been married to my best friend for 15 years and we have 5 great kids. I love the water and I love life! I’d also love a surfboard. Love your stuff! Keep up the good work. Keep smiling. Thank you.
As an Integrative Health Coach, I believe in the mind-body-soul connection. My hope is to help women empower themselves to believe in possibilities and no dead ends. It is my privelege to hold clients’ hearts and help them land their dreams.
I envision using the surfboard as a representation of the connection between passion and life-purpose and as a platform for powerful questions….what lights it up for you? …. and what would be possible if? …. and what are the next steps needed to not only ride the waves of life but SAVOR every moment?
Commitment. I am a mother, wife, yoga instructor, body worker, house keeper, chef, gardner, and pleasure seeker in all capacities of the out-of-doors. I am committed to each. This September we leave for Oahu, to recreate a new living existance. I am committed to this adventure. I have surfed 8 times in my life, the ocean I know nothing about, I am scared, I am committed. Everything we are passionate about requires both feet on board. I am not riding the fence, I am still committed to the unknown, a passion waiting to be kindled. Commitment.
Too long in transition….
Fleece, Gore-tex and climbing boots have been exchanged for skorts, swim suits and sandals.
Two years ago I moved from the Northwest mountain culture to Hawaii and its cobalt blue ocean.
For months I have run along a favorite surfing beach and have become increasingly intrigued with the art of surfing.
The unique board is all this 50 something woman needs to break past my comfort zone, the fear of getting hit in the head by the board, and learn to surf… or lay on the board until I can stand up!
