Wanna win this sweet surfboard?
The contest period has ended. Thank you for all the amazing entries. Stay tuned over the next few days for the announcement of our winners!
We worked with our friends over at Carve Designs to create a one-of-a-kind T9er surfboard (shaped by Entropy) for one of you lucky ladies to win. Here’s all we’re asking – dazzle us with your creativity by telling us why YOU deserve this sweet 7′ sustainably-made ride.
Would you like to fulfill a life-long dream to catch a wave? Use it as a surf deco coffee table, or save drowning children in faraway oceans? Whatever the cause, tell us in 99 words or less by posting a comment below.
Share your words by June 1st, 2009 for a chance to win the surfboard awesomeness. Fret not, ’cause we’ll be giving away 2 prizes to the runners-up ($100 gift card + Team T9 membership).
Heads Up: Our contests are only open to Title Nine eMail subscribers. They are our way of saying thanks to our loyal customers. So if you aren’t already a subscriber you will become one by submitting your entry. Click Here to read the official rules.
So much to do, so little time, a surf board so sweet from title nine. Oceans of waves I’m longing to ride, economy fallen affecting my stride. Of babes I have two, young and full of life, a surfing mama to ease through the strife. On the sea we would sing and laugh in our hearts on the waves we roll over while they are learning the art. Community and family brought together on the sea, thanks to the people at Carve Designs and Entropy.
Scooping up multi-hued coquina clams and watching them rythmically dig back into the wet sand still in your hand. How it tickles when you hold a sand crab. Feeling a starfish slowly suction onto a new surface. Salt crystals on your warm skin, a popsicle, sand in your bathingsuit. The exhilaration of catching the perfect wave at the perfect time, crashing down, laughing. Friendships that seem they will last forever.
My husband and I were both raised at the beach, opposite coasts (him in SoCal, me in southern NJ). We shared the experiences above, even though we were raised 3,000 miles apart. Seeing the beach through a child’s eyes built and instilled in us a love and fascination for the natural world and a commitment to protect it. We want our 11-year-old son to continue with these ideals and values. Owning a Carve surfboard would help us teach him about the importance and fragility of our amazing US coastal resources and the significance of challenging himself as he growas and learns.

Amazing Ocean, Lazy Surfers…Tunnels Beach 2005 (yes, Bethany Hamilton vs. Tiger Shark). Ankle biters breaking on reef. “How can you catch waves on beach floaties?” We did. WE LOVE TO SURF! Beach floatie, hand-me-down board or sustainable seven footer! Mandy, born in Puerto Rico was my lazy surf pal and I would dedicate this beautiful board to her. She’ll retire from the USPS, Santa Rosa, CA (20 years) next year and this board is her retirement gift. It’s going to Rincón, Puerto Rico for the most generous, spontaneous, loving, individual, lazy surfers I know. I deserve to visit.
I was six when I fell in love with swimming. My big sister would tow me around hotel pools on our family vacations. I joined a swim team at eight and swam competitively through high school. In college I started open water swimming. It was terrifying, but I gained confidence. When I met a surfer on a triathlon team who later became my partner, a new water sport and challenge opened up to me. I’m learning to surf and it’s the perfect combination of swimming and appreciating the ocean. My own surfboard would help me grow and gain confidence as a female swimmer and surfer.
I don’t know how you are going to choose from all these great entry’s. I just hope you choose someone who can count to 99. Keep smiling!
I love this board!
Every trip to the ocean with this sweet 7′ surfboard would be one more opportunity to give thanks to, tell others about and spend time with God, the Creator of heaven and earth.

In 1974 as a young bride I left my home in Hawaii for Portland, Oregon. It was a tearful departure, we couldn’t afford to ship much but our blue VW bug. Leaving behind my beautiful Gordon & Smith surfboard was the worst! Entrusting my surfer brother-in-law to keep it safe, under the house, in Kailua, O’ahu. Years later we returned to visit promising to take our son out on the G&S. Auwe! The board had been permanently “borrowed”. Recently, my husband lovingly restored a blue VW bug, all that’s missing is a surfboard on top!
