Some call it National Groggy Day because you lose an hour of sleep. We like to think of it as gaining an extra hour of daylight for more running time on the trail or longer bike rides after work. What are you going to do with that extra hour of daylight?

Working Out
Since it is spring and the weeds are growing like, well…weeds, I’m going out to my garden to pull them out and compost them..
I am going to ride my bike with my 3 kids. We all need more fresh air after this long winter!
Ok, I am a daylight savings time grinch. Since the date was moved up earlier in the year, I actually lose an hour of exercise time… I am most consistent when I do it first thing in the morning. Here in Colorado, it was just now getting light enough to run safely in the morning. As of today, it is once again dark and scary and cold. For at least another month, I will lay in my bed looking out the window at the dark and try to convince myself to get in the car and drive over to the “health club”. I hate to exercise inside. I want to be outside… I don’t want to use fossil fuel energy to burn some of mine. I suppose I will fit in a few more bikerides and runs after work, but those are the hours when soccer practice carpools are running and hungry teenage boys are asking what kind of meat is for dinner…catch you in May, when the lights come back on…
Get back into my regular running schedule and run with my good friend after work…Yea…more light : ) Happy Spring Everyone and Enjoy!
I’m going to really start exercising again. I tend to hibernate in winter and I’ll be able to have time at night to start walking and getting ready for my first 5K.
Get rid of excuses not to run after work! I LOVE the extra light at the end of the day!!
Garden and yard work!
Ride my bike to work now that it won’t be dark when I get out! Whoo-hoo!
Running in the early morning dark. But pretty soon I can put away the bike light for my evening ride home from work, so it’s all good.
I’m finally going to get out and take my dogs on a long walk before work and before the world really wakes up. Can’t wait
