In the biting wind
The warmth of a beating heart
Cries out for cocoa
Green breaking on white
Tumbled weeds cling to wire barbs
The warmth of cold
– J. Nossaman
Snowflakes drifting near
Cardinal red all around
Christmas time is here
snow falling slowly
catching my frost bitten breath
lingers on your cheek
Record breaking snow
Lovely winter wonderland
Brings holiday cheer
From winter cocoon
A butterfly sips sweetness
She wakes up dancing
Over the garden
the October moon rises.
Our shadows appear.
Quiet, solitude
Cold nose, frozen toes, warm heart
Running in the snow
Log breathes tongues of flame
Ancient secrets trapped in wood
Cast their magic spell
Watching the snow fall
Luke our border collie smiles
We’ll have so much fun
