A question on #1…why does she have vertical ice tools (slightly out of the picture) and, well, I’m not sure what she’s putting on her feet, but they don’t look like vertical ice crampons, and the boots are much more flexible than any I can imagine using for vertical ice. (another real woman who isn’t really young, who gets out there and tries all kinds of sports, and is small-chested, small-waisted, and has real hips). (BTW, I had to give my vote to #2, because the dog is always ready to accompany us gals on another adventure!)
I’m sure number 2 will win bc of the dog, but Christy with the marshmallows is my pick bc it’s fun, and out of the ordinary. It makes me laugh and is different from your typical ads. People want different and something that appeals to the fun side of life. Do the dog with the marshmallows and you will have it!!!
#2 because of the beautiful dog!!
I am 56 years young and love the comments from us older girls. I will consider taking photos of myself so that there is a wider representation of age and body type.
I have to agree with Ann C. about using a variety of real life models. I would LOVE to be one of your models–I’m 5’9″, but 160 lbs and wear a size large or 12–probably not in the running. Also I’m 56 🙂 Even people that aren’t perfect model sizes and ages wear and love your clothes and would like to see a more realistic representation. Thanks!
Lori, thank you for your comment. We would love to see what kind of adventures you get into in our gear! We encourage all our customers to post their own images on Instagram and Facebook with the hashtag #MyT9 for exactly the reason you state: that all shapes and sizes of women love our clothes. Take a look at some of our #MyT9 submissions: https://www.instagram.com/explore/tags/myt9/
It’s really important to represent real women with OVER 60 YEARS of OUTDOOR EXPERIENCE! I say this for multiple reasons. We are also a really large group of purchasers. Finally, it would be great for models of any age to be shown who are not skinny. Thanks for taking this seriously.
Les, thanks for your comments. We are very proud of how we represent active, real women in our catalog, stores, and on the web, but certainly there is certainly always room to grow. We very much want to represent women of all ages, which is why we invite our customers to post their own photos of their adventures in T9 gear on our Instagram and Facebook pages. Take a look and post some of your own! https://www.instagram.com/titlenine/
I would LIKE to vote for any of the athletic, healthy, happy appearing ladies in the images HOWEVER I cannot. As a 5′ 5″ tall woman with very large boobs and hips with a short, small waist, I don’t CONNECT with these images other than as people who could be my friends (that’s easy). I would REALLY, REALLY like it if TITLE NINE would start using models who were distinctly MORE ACCURATELY REPRESENTATIVE of the folks I meet out on the trail, in the woods, and on the beach. We’re short, tall, thin, round, old, young, bald, hairy, white, brown, purple, and green. I just finished doing 6 days on the Bowron Lake circuit. Yeah, there were a lot of thin, tall fit young people. but there were MORE rounded, short, middle aged /old (one man was doing it by himself at 72!!) people out. Diversity is awesome.
Ann, thanks for your comments. There is always room to grow, so we take your comments very seriously. We are, however, very proud of our “models” and how we choose to represent women in our catalogs, store, and web images. Our “models” are not professional models; they are moms, businesswomen, teachers, athletes, and more. We photograph them doing the sports they actually love to do in real life. No posed, “duckface” model shots for us! And folks are sometimes surprised to find out that most are between the ages of 30 and 50 and we never Photoshop their appearances.
Of course #2 is my fave, any pic with an exuberant pup in it wins my vote! We should all live and play like our dogs…no regrets, unconditional love and pure joy!!
Number 3. Looks like it could be someone I know, a real girl. Thanks!
#1! Outside, good taste, looks natural, not trying to be something, beautiful!
I like #4, I love the jacket and its silly!
