Each season we choose a hero “model” image for our catalog cover and web home page. Our spring season is coming soon and we need your help choosing our hero image. Let your voice be heard!
All these models fit 1 (o-n-e) description. Tall, slender, blonde, young, fair skinned (even when tan). Is that who you think all your customers are? Is that who you think your customers all want to be? Or is that what the Marketing Dept. looks like?
That’s not what the real world looks like. It’s doesn’t represent almost any of the women I know that shop your catalog.
It’s borderline offensive, but I’m gonna cut you some slack and consider it naive.
Mel, thanks for this comment. We are proud of the diversity of our “models”: Real women (not professional models) of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds who are really doing the sports we photograph them doing – with real sweat, dirt, wrinkles, tattoos and scars, like all of us! However, we agree we can always do more. Thanks again for speaking up.
I am In major agreement with the seasoned woman athlete model, may she be a grandmother, a mother, that run’s, swims, hikes, or etc etc etc. she once was young and beautiful but now she’s older, wiser and has earned every wrinkle and the respect of her family, workers & peers. She is still beautiful and better, like fine wine. She still knows the value of being physically fit, enjoys being outdoors and is very appreciative of quality apparel. I am one of these special ladies, mom, grandma, 60 years , very athletic and think Title Nine clothes & gear rocks! Keep up the good work and don’t forget about the originals who were out there doing it first!
I agree. All these women are beautiful and very accomplished. How about women 55 plus that are so active ( like me and I love Title 9 and share with all my marina sista’s). We have stories and are stylish and sooo active. What these models do in their active life is great- been there and done that and now taking on bigger things. Like Trans Atlantic Crossings in boats, living on board, catching dinner. As we age, we just push the lines more! And we are have more curves!!
All the ladies are beautifull, but I’m waiting to see women that are real sized, perhaps over 50. They’re out there and they’re active and beautiful, too!
I agree with JJ about the lack of variety in skin color. I’m a Latina who is fair in the dead of winter & appear mulato if I’m outdoors for a week. ‘Women of color’ exist in a wide range of colors.
It’s great to see strong accomplished, active ladies in your ads. They just don’t represent a very large segment of the real world of active women

Then do more PLEASE! I agree with Mel show some of the real people that shop here

love the down to earth models
How about some senior models, like me that wear your clothes?
I LOVE THEM ALL! Even if mountain-biker BETH, my favorite, isn’t here this time. Stay shreddy, Beth!
I also agree with Sabrina – most of your customers are not these sizes and are in their late 40’s – 50’s. Let see some of them in your catalog.
I agree with Sabrina
A large part of your buyers are over 50. Some of the models should cover this buying market!
I’m 65, and very active as some of my friends. Let’s see some grey hair and ladies of color! Love your clothes!

Meant to say-we all have more curves. And I at one time was a 32 B size 4- at 59 I’m a 34 D and size 8.

PS : They may have inspired these women.
Why are the choices all Caucasian? That’s what I am, but some of your most spectacular models were not.
Hi JJ, we agree that our “models” are spectacular! Among those are Ty and Maggie who are women of color.
