Getting into and out of trouble is THE survival skill for women in the 21st century.
A few of my favorite trouble makers:
Ellen DeGeneres, Amy Schumer, Nellie Bly, Bethany Hamilton, Nikki Haley, Beyoncé, Susana Martinez, Martha Stewart, Tammy Duckworth, Missy Elliott, Susan Collins, Catharine Bond Hill, Venus and Serena Williams, Kathrine Switzer, Rosa Parks.
So, this winter, go out and make some trouble!
Missy Park, Founder
Who’s your favorite trouble maker?
Favorite troublemaker? The Girl with the Lower Back Tatoo, Amy Schumer. Laughter Trumps Hate. And Misogyny.
My favorite troublemaker is Hillary Clinton! Top of the list!
We’d have to agree!
Georgena Terry. My little road bike has been on the road for 20+ years!
Really? Nicky Haley is on your list? Supporter of Donald Trump who has no respect for women???
There’s power in celebrating women of every political persuasion, though we admit there’s only one woman we’re hoping to call Madam President.
Eleanor Roosevelt! Have you ever looked at all that she accomplished, especially as a first lady? Her support for african americans brought about many of the inequality laws. My favorite quote: “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
Love that quote! She was a remarkable woman in so many ways. Thanks for adding her to our list.
My favorite troublemaker is one of my best friends Kage. She is a feisty woman who is extremely smart and sharp but also has an exceptionally beautiful and caring heart. She did not grow up in the States, but rather in Tanzania, so she has a perspective on our culture that is refreshing and also eye-opening. She has a way of questioning norms and the way things are, which can sometimes make people uncomfortable (but I love it!). She is presently pursuing her Masters, with the desire to address the core causes behind human trafficking. She is a way-maker, and I have no doubt that she will be a force to be reckoned with once she is unleashed from student-hood. Watch out, World!
Wow, Kage sounds like a rockstar. Thank you for sharing a little about her. Questioning norms and making folks uncomfortable are key troublemaking qualities. Keep at it Kage (and Rachel)!
