Working Out
I believe:
A) we are the soul controllers of our own destiny
B) age is just a number
C) we can do anything if we put our minds to it, given the best clothing, equipment, food, nutrition and support, we can achieve success.
D) we don’t love, hug or give to others enough.
E) we are not grateful enough.
I believe I can be the best athlete, friend and supporter to those in need.
I am grateful for the things available to allow me to exercise, run and compete. Thank you Title Nine for putting out such great products for women to grow stronger each day. When you dress well, you look well, feel well and ultimately perform well.
I believe that there is something good about everyday, no matter how dreary, how steamy, how bitter cold. I agree that outside is better than inside, that doing SOMETHING is better than doing nothing. That friends are what makes life worth living. That listening is better than talking (that is a hard one to remember!). That homemade bread is the most amazing thing. That attitude is everything…and that love makes the world go ’round.
I believe that all women should be encouraged to be actively ‘fit’, both physically and mentally. I believe that an active and fit woman has more self confidence, feels better, and consequently treats the rest of humanity and the earth better. We need to recognize that women’s bodies experience many changes throughout their lives, and that achieving and maintaining that physical fitness throughout these changes can present many challenges. I would hope and pray that Title Nine would like to encourage women to achieve and maintain such physical fitness by providing women with clothing and accessories for all sizes and ages of adult women. However, I believe that Title Nine seeks to sadly only serve the already fit woman between the ages of 20-40. Women who may be pregnant or recently pregnant cannot find clothes at Title Nine. Women who are trying to get fit and are worried about paunchy stomachs or large breasts cannot find clothes at Title Nine. I hope that some day, Title Nine may offer shorts and capris and pants that rise to, or nearly to, the bellybutton and don’t stop at merely the bikini line. I hope that some day, Title Nine may offer bras that might fit a 36-G, without giving the appearance of an attempt to bind the chest flat. I am so sorry that you want me to shop elsewhere until I achieve a physically fit status before I can wear your clothes.
I believe adventures are better when shared! Our four-legged companions are just as motivating, if not more that our 2-legged friends.
I believe that we can take a minute to show kindness each day. Listen to a stranger in the grocery line, let a parent know how great their kid is acting, or just make eye contact with the person taking your coffee order. You never know how much a little kindness might really mean to that person! I have been amazed at what I have experienced with this practice.
I believe in the power of prayer…and chocolate!
When you feel good about yourself your power can move mountains !!!
I believe that starting a 3 mile jog and ending up jog/walk/wog because you forgot your inhaler is better than saying ” ah, forget it”. That I at least took this 145 lbs somewhere, and I feel better for it. Movement=medicine
