Working Out
I do believe that outdoors is better than indoors, but am fortunate to have an indoors to go to. I do believe that it does take a village!
I believe you’ve made a serious error in judgment by commissioning & paying for that abomination of a bra catalogue. Leave the attempts @ soft-core porn th Victoria’s Secret.
I believe in the will to survive and make the best of what you have. I believe in the goodness of people to strengthen you and help you feel you’re doing the right thing. I have experienced extreme life-altering events where both of these beliefs have been validated. Love, hope and faith prevail, with love taking the forefront. Without love, it’s hard to have faith or hope.
I believe that nobody should be able to tell you what you’re capable of. I believe that people like stereotypes because they are easy and comfortable and that no second is wasted if you are crushing those stereotypes under your running shoes while racing past the doubters. I believe clothes should fit, be comfy, and look good, and I believe we can do great things, all of us, but most important is to just go and do.
I believe that this is a practical world and that I can count only on what I earn. Therefore, I believe in work, hard work.
I believe in education, which gives me the knowledge to work wisely and trains my mind and my hands to work skillfully.
I believe in honesty and truthfulness, without which I cannot win the respect and confidence of my fellow men.
I believe in a sound mind, in a sound body and a spirit that is not afraid, and in clean sports that develop these qualities.
I believe in obedience to law because it protects the rights of all.
I believe in the human touch, which cultivates sympathy with my fellow men and mutual helpfulness and brings happiness for all.
I believe in my Country, because it is a land of freedom and because it is my own home, and that I can best serve that country by “doing justly, loving mercy, and walking humbly with my God.”
And because Auburn men and women believe in these things, I believe in Auburn and love it.
-George Petrie (1945)
I am not an Auburn woman, but I married an Auburn man and I believe in him!
I believe in God, the father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again.
He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
I believe we are all lovable and capable, including those who give the appearance of being disabled or vulnerable. I believe in sticking up for the underdog. “There, but for the grace of God, go I.” I believe in standing up straight in my clothes, even worn and out-of-fashion clothing. I believe in tolerance. I believe in compromise. I believe in peace.
I believe that getting outside is what allows me to do what I need to do inside. Being outside helps me feel grounded. Having the right clothes for what I’m doing outside helps me feel awesome. I believe in challenging myself, trying something new every now and then. I believe that turning someone else’s cloud into a rainbow is always a good thing given the opportunity.
I believe that women are more than property or baggage, that a woman who believes in herself is capable of all things. To have clothing that is comfortable and fits well is essential. Having walked part of the Camino de Santiago in France and Spain and wearing Title Nine clothing, I know that in my mid 60’s which I am, I can complete the rest of my journey as walking 10 hours a day, the clothes make all the difference in the world. Thanks for inspiring me and giving me the essentials I need to fulfill my dreams.
I believe in myself. I believe I can do anything I set my mind to. I have discovered I am capable of doing more than I ever thought possible. I am strong, fit, and a survivor. Hugs and kisses are important. Family and friends are a priority. I am worthy of great things. I will not settle for less.
