I just sent a little note about myself for consideration in your Teton area photo shoot. Here’s my caption:
SHOW UP FOR YOURSELF!
Christina Shepherd McGuire
Occupation: Writer and editor.
Preoccupation: Backyard farming.
Latest Adventure: Riding the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort superpipe with my children, Olivia, 10, and Shea, 8.
Nonnegotiable: Mommy timeouts. Being overwhelmed is a choice. And so is GETTING OUTSIDE!
I currently love life in Teton Valley, ID. I have a passion for health, fitness, sunshine, and chocolate. I love to spend time fly fishing, rowing down beautiful rivers, skiing, mountain biking and running. My mantra would be, ‘you are the story you tell yourself’.
“My kids needed a superhero so I became one.”
I am a single mom of 3 crazy boys!
3 years ago I was in a downward spiral. I ended up in a life changing accident. I was in a car wreck that almost cost me life life. After a year of recovery I decided to make a serious change. Drs told me I wouldn’t be able to walk let alone run again. I proved them wrong. I got into fitness and pushed through the pain. I went back to school and got my degree in nursing. I got my personal Training certification and I coach crossfit, dance, and kids fit. I also hold the title of Strongest Woman in Wyoming. I was born to compete. I changed my life for my kids and we could not be any happier

My name is Kelsey, I am passionate about life, love and adventure. I’m an active waterskiier, hiker, backpacker, snowshoer, mountain biker, and lover of anything outdoors.
My caption:
Life explored on wheels outdoors! #GetMoreGirlsOutside
Interesting facts:
1. Mountain biking! I ride frequently, at times even everyday. In August I completed a 50 mile mountain bike race with 10,000 ft of elevation gain in Oregon. I help coach a NICA team.
2. Road biking. I put together a club of 26 women and growing. This is our first year and our numbers are phenomenal for our area. I can’t wait to support these ladies on their 2017 cycling goals.
3. Backpacking. I host an annual ladies only backpacking trip. One of my priorities is to bring at least 2 ladies that have never been backpacking because it’s a supportive and nurturing environment to develop independence in the backcountry.
4. I’m a sales manager at my local bike shop…quite the career transition after 15 years in banking.
Next Adventure: Moving to Alaska to mush sled dogs.
Life Moto: Do something every day that scares you. And always wear sunscreen!
When I’m feeling blue: I go for a run and eat ice cream. In that order.
Hidden Talent: quick at peeing outdoors.
Pet-peeve: When people say they’re ‘bored’.
Occupation: Civil Engineer
Preoccupation: Target shooting to practice for biathlon!
Latest Adventure: Moving to Alaska with my husband (for the fun of it!)
Wishes She Had: More time in a day
Pet Peeve: Debbie Downers
Non-Negotiable: Merino wool dresses and leggings in the winter
Biathlon? That is the most adventurous sport ever. We’re impressed!
