Full-time mom, part-time cardiac nurse, some-time runner, wake boarder/surfer, snowboarder, green thumb, seamstress, baker, mechanic . . . all-time caregiver.
Little Known Fact: claustrophobic in a corn maze
Best Friend: husband and father of my children
Prefers: a code blue over a code brown
Hi my name is Ingrid. I have climbed mount hood, spent summers backpacking into remote locations in the Pacific Northwest, jumping into freezing Crater Lake and rafting down the McKenzie and Umpqua. When I wasn’t there or studying, I was swimming at Amazon pool twice a day and every summer and competing in Gresham at Mount Hood Community College’s Olympic pool. From my first place win to training at the Olympic training center to making finals at Ivy championships, I plunged my competitive nature into swimming. It’s where I came alive and continue to stay.
I’m currently an HR Assistant at the Swanson Group and have the pleasure of living at the foothills of the cascades.
My mantra would be this: “It’s always better in the water”.
My name is Lauren Ulbricht and I am a passionate outdoor enthusiast. My drive to push my body to it’s physical and mental limit has taken me all over the world, from studying in Iceland to teaching on a cultural exchange program in Chile. I have lead groups and myself into the backcountry. Hiking is a mild way I get outside. My true passions lie in climbing, yoga, sea-kayaking and trail running. I am also very interested in backcountry nutrition and how we feed our bodies when pursuing outdoor sports. I am 23 years of age and currently working on Orcas Island as a Sea-kayak instructor in the San-juan islands. We take high schoolers out on circumnavigations and teach them how to be leaders in the world. Teaching hard and soft skills are something I do best. The reason I want to be apart of the Title Nine community is because I agree with the philosophy of your company. I am a working female in the outdoors and other young women should see that strong women have a place there. I’ve included a couple photos of me climbing and paddling. Thanks for taking the time to read my bio and I hope you have a lovely day.
About me: I’m a mom of 2 girls, a product designer (I design websites, software and apps) and live in Denver. Years ago in my first job out of college I performed springboard and high-dive diving shoes Italy. In my second job I was a ski instructor in Vail. Then I discovered my love for designing interactive experiences.
Fitness inspiration: I hold myself accountable to do at least one kind of exercise everyday (in addition to biking to work.) I haven’t taken a day off from exercise in 1.5 years and I see that as a good thing because it means I have stayed free of illness and injury. The result of staying healthy and feeling fit is my daily motivation.
Activities I love to do:
alpine skiing (former ski instructor in Vail), snowshoeing, running, swimming, mountain biking and paddle boarding. I also love classes like hot yoga sculpt and spin/cycle and will soon try reaxing.
My favorite quote:
“Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one’s courage” —Anais Nin
My mottos -
“ABL” (always be learning)
-Go for the win-win
-Do one thing each day that scares you (which is how I’d write this caption!)
Who Am I?
College sophomore studying graphic design
Passionate Ultimate Frisbee player, early morning runner, and amateur rock climber
Hobbies include swing dance, hiking with the fam, and reading difficult books
Addiction: Apples with almond butter
Mantra: Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful
Story: I was born and raised in California. I have always been a super sporty person. I have played soccer for 14 years, beach and indoor volleyball for 5 years, waterpolo for 1 year, rugby for 1 year, and gymnastics for 2 years. I just recently got into acting. I also have been interested in fitness type modeling because, sports and fitness are what I’ve done my entire life and I love taking pictures, so I often let my sister take pictures of me because she loves photography. I will be starting college this fall as well. I would say my fitness inspiration is just staying healthy. I love the way I feel after a workout. I feel strong, happy and accomplished. Fitness is also something that my family and I like to do together sometimes, so it’s also a bonding experience.

I absolutely love fitness and wellness! I am an Pilates instructor as well as a single mom of two beautiful girls as well as a special education teacher.
I aspire to be a role model to my girls and girls around the world! I think beauty comes from within and that your mind and spirit are directly combined with your outer beauty.
I have worked with Special Education students of all challenges and I look at their disabilities as blessings. As a Pilates teacher I want to help boost the confidence of all women and men and teach them how they can overcome any obstacle if they just believe.
I was given a second chance at life 4 years ago as I survived a double brain aneurysm surgery. I looked completely different and had a full craniotomy. I remember thinking I almost died and I survived from this day forward I touch lives everyday with my teaching either through fitness or education. I believe in exercise and I know it can heal all wounds! God bless !
