I could whiz through the wall-sits and planks…but I’ve never done a whole pull-up in my life (blame my love-sport, soccer)…so that’s the challenge I pick! 😉
So I have challenged all the guys in my office to do this along with me. They are saying the wall sit and plank times are outrageously hard and the push up and pull up benchmarks are a piece of cake. Where can I find benchmarks equivalent to these for guys? I want to make this fair 🙂
I am starting with beginner wall sit and plank. I’m also going to do the intermediate push ups. I’ll be ready for winter! Thanks for the motivation!!
I am in and so are my two co-workers that I asked to join me. 🙂
Way to make it a gaggle! (Get it? #AintNoTurkey? Gaggle? Okay, you caught me, so maybe it’s a rafter of turkeys and a gaggle of geese, but we still love that you are doing the challenge with your coworkers!) –Christina@T9
I’m in for Beginner Wall Sits and Beginner Push-ups! I lost a lot of muscle tone in the last 2 years from illness/injuries and it’s hard to get back into the habit of working out.
In in. I’ll be working on my push ups. I’m at the intermediate level now so working up to 10 will be a great goal. I’m going to bring this to our work-out group and spur some others on.
I love a challenge. Can’t wait to see the end results.
What a fabulous idea! I am printing out the PDF and recruiting some friends. I will be traveling and away from my regular workouts.. this is the perfect solution. Thanks!
I want to run. I’ve always wanted to run but spent years smoking and knew from past experience that running was out. Two years ago I had a life threatening experience requiring a 10 day hospital stay. I came out of that experience 20 pounds lighter and a non-smoker. I managed to not only gain back the lost 20 but added 50 more since then. Earlier this year I decided enough, I don’t smoke anymor, now was my chance to run. I started out gradually walking. Long story short, I have managed to cause stress fractures in both hips, the left hip in May and the right hip, 2 weeks ago. I guess what I am getting to is instead of thinking I can’t since I am supposed to stay off my feet so the hip will heel, this challenge has me thinking I can! I’m going to work on push ups and planks for beginners. Thank you for giving me a new outlook!
Don’t just think you can Kristine, KNOW you can — starting with the change you make for yourself today. Keep us posted on those planks and push-ups, and feel free to add other or modified exercises if you like to really make this challenge ‘yours.’ We can’t wait to eventually see you out at the starting line of a Title 9K. –Christina@T9
Kristine, You can do this! I will be thinking of you as I work thru my own challenge. I Ain’t No Turkey and You Ain’t No Turkey!! Congratulations on your fresh start. – #committment #womanpower
I’m in to do all 4!
