Wanna win this sweet surfboard?
The contest period has ended. Thank you for all the amazing entries. Stay tuned over the next few days for the announcement of our winners!
We worked with our friends over at Carve Designs to create a one-of-a-kind T9er surfboard (shaped by Entropy) for one of you lucky ladies to win. Here’s all we’re asking – dazzle us with your creativity by telling us why YOU deserve this sweet 7′ sustainably-made ride.
Would you like to fulfill a life-long dream to catch a wave? Use it as a surf deco coffee table, or save drowning children in faraway oceans? Whatever the cause, tell us in 99 words or less by posting a comment below.
Share your words by June 1st, 2009 for a chance to win the surfboard awesomeness. Fret not, ’cause we’ll be giving away 2 prizes to the runners-up ($100 gift card + Team T9 membership).
Heads Up: Our contests are only open to Title Nine eMail subscribers. They are our way of saying thanks to our loyal customers. So if you aren’t already a subscriber you will become one by submitting your entry. Click Here to read the official rules.
We desire.
We dream.
Some of us turn our dreams into reality.
Some of us are content to just dream.
I have always been the former. If you dream it,
make it happen! Life is short and unpredictable.
A little under two years ago (living in Colorado) I knew
I needed to live near the ocean. Dream realized, I now go to
the beach daily to frolic and
play with my chocolate Lab, Mako. I always have my eye on the
surfers knowing that I have another dream that needs to be realized. I need to learn how to surf.
I have always been active and outdoorsy, whitewater river guide,
backpacking, biking, hiking etc. A year ago I was diagnosed with
Multiple Scoliosis. The unknown of how
the disease could progress was mentally devastating. I need to
learn to surf. I need to keep striving for my dreams, I need to keep active, no matter
what. I will learn to surf and it would make it that much sweeter if
I won the T-9 surfboard!
I tunr 40 in 3 months! This makes me very happy to have another birthday to celebrate as a happy, healthy woman. I have lost 6 friends by the time I was 35, so I really try to take advantage of each day that I have. By learning how to surf, I would be honoring those who can’t be here to learn. I do not take any breath for granted, and I want to live the dream & keep the mojo alive!
When I was 16, I learned how to surf during a family vacation. Nothing compares to the freedom I felt. I’ve never had the chance to surf again. I tried to plan a trip to Florida this summer but with today’s economy, I had to cancel. Instead, I’m working three jobs to repay student loans while taking the last classes needed for my degree. Until I can make my way back to the ocean again, it would be amazing to come home to a reminder of the sun, the sand, and the way it feels to catch a wave.
🙂 I’m checking to see if you have to post this and then submit it
Heh, Thanks for the opportunity to win this smooth designed board. My daughters and I are moving this summer and will be close to Lake Huron… surf every weekend.! Olivia is especially talented athletically; plays soccor and tennis, excels at
math and science. Eve floats her mini board. Liv is a member of G.R.E.A.T. (aka) girls recognizing engineering and technology. This is a major move for us, and the girls are very apprehensive about leaving school and friends. Awesome Board would make the move look more attractive. If finances allow, we are hoping to drive down to South Caroline later this year and board along your beautiful eastern seaboard. Smooth with our beach themed entertainment room.
I lived one mile from the Silverstrand beach in Port Hueneme California.
Born a waterbaby baptized by the Sea. My board was a old Dewey Weber.
I begged my mother to allow me to buy this old board. The ocean frightened her but she knew I was at home in it respecting its powerful force.
WATER HAS MEMORY
Older now, still a waterbaby I close my eyes and remember the roll of waves, smell of salt. I am sitting on this sweet surfboard waiting for perfect wave.
WATER HAS MEMORY
I know it remembers me!
Recently widowed, my husbands’ mother was reminiscing about vacations she and his father had taken together but lamented they had never gone to Hawaii. I piped up and said we’d take her so the three of us spent 10 days on the island of Kauai. Since then we have been to the Chesapeake Bay followed by a Florida trip where we fell in love with kayaking.
I am turning 50 this summer and I believe that learning to ride the waves on our next beach trip would be on awesome way to kick off my next 50 years!!!
I don’t want a gorgeous surfboard, I want the experience of walking on top of a mountain of ocean heaven. In the essence of pure energy, the ever changing flow of life, one moment your on top of the waves of life the next your sucking sand up your nose! But I love it! The feel of sun and salty water on my skin stimulates my imagination. Since I can’t walk on water the next best thing is a “one-of-a-kind sweet surf ride”. I need it! I got to have it! The tools to travel the waves of life!
Coming from a generation of “earning” not “deserving”, this will be hard to write, but I do feel I “deserve” an even chance. After years of working, saving, raising and educating four children, my dream of owning a home near a So. Cal beach is approaching reality. What a wonderful addition it would be to have this “sweet” surfboard as a house warming gift to myself and for my family to enjoy. What a kick for my daughters to take their mom out on her own board!
I’m fortunate enough to be inspired by a lady who epitomized my definition of the ultimate woman. She exuded true feminine beauty. She could kick male butt in her biking, hiking, or climbing shoes, then shower, rinse, repeat in her stilettos. Cancer took her too soon, but she left me with her motto, “When is the last time you did something for the first time?” This board will allow me to do just that, while its beachy turquoise design will bring a little slice of Caribbean sunshine to my otherwise gray, rainy Pacific Northwest corner of the world.
