Wanna win this sweet surfboard?
The contest period has ended. Thank you for all the amazing entries. Stay tuned over the next few days for the announcement of our winners!
We worked with our friends over at Carve Designs to create a one-of-a-kind T9er surfboard (shaped by Entropy) for one of you lucky ladies to win. Here’s all we’re asking – dazzle us with your creativity by telling us why YOU deserve this sweet 7′ sustainably-made ride.
Would you like to fulfill a life-long dream to catch a wave? Use it as a surf deco coffee table, or save drowning children in faraway oceans? Whatever the cause, tell us in 99 words or less by posting a comment below.
Share your words by June 1st, 2009 for a chance to win the surfboard awesomeness. Fret not, ’cause we’ll be giving away 2 prizes to the runners-up ($100 gift card + Team T9 membership).
Heads Up: Our contests are only open to Title Nine eMail subscribers. They are our way of saying thanks to our loyal customers. So if you aren’t already a subscriber you will become one by submitting your entry. Click Here to read the official rules.
MISSING PERSON: 5’4” – red hair (usually in a pony) – super active and fun!
Well, that was me before 3 kids and car pools and poopy diapers and mess, mess and more mess!
Intractable pain eats away at your spirit, clouds the mind, changes the way you function in the world. It only took 1 second for my spine to hit the metal edge of the park rail – and two and a half years of physical therapy, pilates, acupuncture, massage, chiropractic, and anti-inflammatory herbs and supplements to recover from that snowboarding crash. I never gave up. I refused to cover my daily pain with medication that would never correct the underlying problem. And here I am, ready to move through the world with renewed grace and agility. Please, help me do that.
If I won win this surfboard it’d be THE finale to a goal set three months ago and celebration of the spirit of T9. In March, I vacationed in Costa Rica to learn to surf (and get some R&R). Despite loving the ocean, fabulous instructors & encouraging fiance, I could not get up! Since vaca, 15 pounds gone, running 20+ miles/week, and feeling strong! Nothing would make me happier than to ride the waves on this gorgeous board with my stronger physique and show myself I can ride this board (and my surferboy nephew – young boys need kickin’ aunts)!
surfing… I feel it like a heartbeat surfing… I feel it constantly surfing… at the edge of my consciousness surfing… like a part of me that belongs surfing… to something bigger then myself surfing… is calling me surfing… and even though it leaves me surfing… a little scared (in that good way!) surfing… and a lot in love with the possibility surfing… that something so beautiful surfing… could make me feel whole surfing… I want to find that part of myself surfing… that belongs on a surfboard surfing… I want to take that first ride of my life… surfing
My Love
I have lived in a shore township since I was two years old, thus my passion and love for the ocean seems to ever increase. I turn 18 years old this Wednesday, June 3. I work in a surf shop, the closest thing I come to surfing. I have always had this strong desire to learn but I was never equipped with my own surf board [ due to their price], or an opportunity to learn; and believe me, I’ve tried!
Everytime I go to the beach, I find myself stopped; staring; watching; the sea warriors ride their trusty board on a monster of curling, spraying water. I want that to be me! I am well acquainted and good at other beach activities, such as boogie boarding and skim boarding. However, my true passion is surfing. If I could win this beautiful board, I KNOW i could fulfill my dream of riding the gleaming waves with the sound of their brothers and sisters crashing on the shore.
Surfing is an amazing sport to me and I’m dying to become a part of the world of surfing. I hope you can enable me to experience the true nature of this sport, as my endearing heart grows fonder of surfing and the sea.
Hi, I’m a mommy of two and married to a surfer. I did not go to the beach very often growing up but now we go several times a year. My husband, David has taken me and the girls out on his long board and is trying to teach us how to surf. I have fallen in love with the sport and my youngest Gillian, who is fearless, is really getting good. But, his board is too big and awkward. I would love to win this surfboard because it is way cooler than David’s and it would be mine to share with my girls. Girls rule!

I have surfed three times with my mom. When I stand up it feels like I accomplished something big and I like being seen by other surfers as a surfing youth (grom). I also like the feel of the waves against my body when I fall. If I win the surfboard I will be able to bring a friend and have a board for each of us. I like the board’s design, and it will turn easier than the learner board I am borrowing now. I would use the board often because I plan to surf for life.
Girlfriends,
let me tell you how I will use this Tasty board as a Talisman which Inter-connects oceaN to mountaiN.
My Love for Mother Earth and Enthusiasm for savoring magical moments led me to a sustainable, organic valley in Colorado. I am raising two amazing independent daughters and teaching grade school children “free” academics and other life skills.
This board will be used creatively in the classroom to bring fun and awareness of the deep connections of all life forms and all biomes on our blue-green planet.

My family and I moved to Virginia Beach from Portland. I was 48 and will be 54. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would leave Oregon or go so far. We live two blocks from the ocean. Everyone here surfs. I thought I was “a mom”, “too old to surf”. When I saw the contest a light went on for me,”I could do that”. I secretly wanted to be “the mom that surfs”. Winning a surfboard would be so fun! What inspiration. What a healthy way to demonstrate to my sons how to change at any age.
