I wake up each day;
brush my teeth and wash my face
happy in life’s race
Winter time has come;
children playing in the snow
rosy cheeks aglow
Playful leaps and bounds;
tiny tracks upon the snow
rabbit makes no sound
Thanksgiving blessing
Caretaker or caregiver
Take care in giving
Warm little fur ball,
all curled up from nose to tail.
Time to hibernate.
Solstice is a time
To gather, reflect, ponder
Seasons come and gone
All the catalogs
Inspire good intentions
most unfulfilled.
snowflake on eyelash
spark and crackle of a fire
pumpkin pie yummy
early morning swim
lap after lap, tough practice
look fab for forty!
Everyone is here
Good food, fun, games, memories
Who will do dishes?
Four Haikus because I was feeling creative:
1) Family gathered
Celebrate togetherness
Love, the greatest gift
2) Anticipation
Small eyes filled with joy and glee
Holidays are near.
3) Snow and ice and sun
Sledding, skiing, mountain fun
Wintertime has come.
4) Happy, jolly elf
Reindeer, sleigh and visits to
All children on earth.
Breath in fresh cold air,
Exhale lessons of the day,
Calm overtakes me.
